When Chad Blow put together Loverbuoy in 2026, he didn’t realize he was forming the hottest new cover band in LA. By combining Chad’s soaring guitar with Tommy Vegas’s powerful lead vocals; Bobby Colada’s at-once monstrous and subtle drumming; Vernon “Skip” Charlemagne’s slick and precise bass playing; and the dual keyboard attack of seasoned sailor Jacques Le Strappe (who also breaks a mean wind with his sax and aerophone) and young gun Reno Spaulding, the lads have orchestrated the hippest tribute to Gen X on the West Coast.

Focusing on the more upbeat selections of the amorphous Yacht subgenre emanating from the late-’70s to mid-’80s, Loverbuoy brings the party to the poop deck and the Arena to the Marina!
